I slept wonderfully in my beautiful guest room. As always, however, it was far too short a sleep, because I wanted to use the morning to visit the small Lake Kinrin nearby before visiting Beppu, where I wanted to go to the onsen. So I got up at seven and quickly set off to see the sunrise.

Day 10: Lake Kinrin
Kinrin-ko (Lake Kinrin) is a small but beautiful lake located just north of Yufuin.
